The Healing Power of Raw Foods

What exactly IS all the hype about raw foods? Is this just some trendy new fad or is there something more to it?

Learn firsthand about the powerful healing effect the introduction of raw living foods can have on your overall health and how it complements a yogic lifestyle in this fun, informative workshop. Break through the myths surrounding the preparation of raw foods (Hint: it does not need to be time consuming, complicated or expensive and you do not need to be 100% raw to enjoy the physical and emotional benefits of this lifestyle).

Taste a variety of recipes that Carol will prepare and learn how easily you can integrate these enzyme rich foods into your diet using minimal equipment, spending only minutes on preparation and using locally grown, organic produce. Take home printed copies of the recipes as well as a pantry stock list and time saving tips for smoothly transitioning to a diet that is high in raw foods.

Some of the benefits of following a high raw diet include increased energy and vitality; smoother, younger looking skin; stronger, healthier hair and nails; weight loss; reduction of wrinkles and fine lines; and prevention of cancer and other degenerative diseases.

Carol Galanty is a certified Holistic Health Counselor, yoga instructor and raw foods chef who has overcome significant health problems of her own, which she attributes to her high raw lifestyle.

Some sample recipes Carol has made in previous raw foods workshops to rave reviews include:

  • Green Smoothies
  • Pumpkin Pie in a Bowl Soup
  • Pomegranate Endive Walnut Salad
  • Mock Salmon Pate
  • Strawberry Banana Crepes with Cashew Kreme
  • Apple Tart

Navigating Your Way Through Change

Change is a part of life. In fact, the only constant we can rely on in this journey we call life is change. Navigating through life’s changes can be quite challenging, especially when you feel they have been imposed upon you. The loss of a job, an unexpected divorce, children growing up and leaving the nest…events such as these can throw you for a loop and leave you feeling lost, confused, scared…wondering “what now?”

Or perhaps a vague sense of angst has been building for years, causing you to suddenly leave your spouse or the only career you have ever known in search of the unknown. In search of some sort of fulfillment you can’t quite identify with words. Change can be as enticing as it is terrifying.

In this dynamic, interactive workshop, you will learn a set of tools that have proven to be essential in Carol’s own life as she has transitioned through a variety of personally challenging situations. Journaling, meditation techniques, and gratitude and forgiveness exercises will be introduced to help you manage and reduce stress, to re-program the way you react to certain situations and to deepen your connection with your higher self.

Carol Galanty is a certified Holistic Health Counselor, yoga instructor, raw foods chef and Reconnective Healing practitioner who teaches an integrated, holistic approach to wellness, focusing on the mind-body-spirit connection. She draws on her diverse background to teach you how to become the creator of the life you desire to live; to no longer feel powerless; to stop playing the victim role; to step into your power and to discover the state of peace and happiness that resides inside each and every one of us and is accessible regardless of external circumstances.

Empower yourself to transition through any challenge that life throws your way with grace and ease. Come to this workshop equipped with an open mind, an open heart and a blank journal.
